Armbruster & Move for Hunger: Fill The Mayflower Food Donation

Brunswick, OH (October 2021) - In observation of September being Hunger Action Month, Armbruster Moving & Storage is partnering with Move for Hunger to organize a food drive through the end of November. Customers who donate nonperishable food items on the day of their move will be a part of their goal to Fill the Mayflower, one of Armbruster’s trucks, by November 30. Move for Hunger is a nonprofit organization that collects and redistributes food that would otherwise be wasted during the relocation process to those in need. Last year, their network delivered more than five million pounds of food and organized over 700 food drives.  On moving day, customers of partner moving companies, like Armbruster Moving & Storage, are encouraged to set aside their non-perishable food items. Armbruster crews will pack and solve the logistics of getting food donations to local food pantries, such as the Cleveland Salvation Army, that sort and distribute the food to families who need them. Mayflower Agents, including Armbruster Moving & Storage, have had success in past partnerships with the organization. To date, participating agents have provided 768,128 meals and delivered 921,754 pounds of food to those in need.
